BJDI is developing software for drones or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Military, security and other government uses for UAV’s have been around since the early 1900’s and came to be what we now know as drones during the 80’s and 90’s. One particular type of use would be 3D mapping. 3D mapping generates three-dimensional maps by image captures of the terrain from a manned aircraft, helicopter and/or UAV. Our applications do not include monitoring crowds at public activities for security, farming or weather. The point is UAV’s are becoming a part of our daily lives and there here to stay. They can be programmed for a mission and they’re on the way. Currently satellites are able to produce maps that have much accuracy, but without the detail needed for different types of examinations. Through the technology we are developing we can have thousands of high density images that can be merged together that forms one complete map in high detail and definition. We are taking the next step for developing this technology.
